The Warehouse combines the paranoia of 1984, the dystopian undercurrents of Soylent Green, and the menacing influence of corporations in modern-day America into one thoroughly-engaging feast for the imagination. As they grow closer and more of Cloud’s secrets are revealed, both must make hard choices about their futures… and what sacrifices they’re willing to make. Paxton and Zinnia are two new hires with differing agendas: Paxton needs a job, but resents the company for putting him out of business, while Zinnia was hired to investigate Cloud and answer some troubling questions about the ubiquitous megacorporation. In an all-too-plausible future, the biggest employer is Cloud, a tech company where employees live AND work on company property in order to escape the jobless and overheated hellscape of the outside world.
